Cricket Fundraiser Event
We would like to give a HUGE shout out to Graeme Mckim who, along with his wife Jo and Burton Latimer Town Cricket Club held a charity event in aid of Kelly’s Heroes at the start of June.
The weekend included a raffle, silent auction, disco, BBQ and not forgetting a few games of cricket! After counting the last few donations that were still being made last week, the event raised over £6,000!
The team know how much this event meant to Graeme and we would like to say a massive THANK YOU for all his efforts in arranging the weekend and raising funds for Kelly’s Heroes.
Graeme has more fundraising events in the pipeline, and you can find out all about these and why he has chosen Kelly’s Heroes as his nominated charity in his interview within this newsletter.
Fundraisers
We would like to give a massive shout out to Cherie and Reece who took on the Tough Mudder challenge on the 25 th June whilst raising funds for Kelly’s Heroes
They both ran in memory of Cherie’s brother, Craig, who sadly passed away last year.
They both smashed their target of £1000 and raised a whopping £1247!
Well done to you both, you are true Kelly’s Heroes.
Changemaker Awards
Our Community & Engagement Coordinator, Katie represented the team at the University of
Northampton Changemaker Awards on 20 th June where we reached the finals in the ‘Health and
Wellbeing Changemaker Of The Year’ category.
Whilst we didn’t take home the trophy (the award went to the well deserving ‘The Frank Bruno
Foundation’) Katie had a great night and caught up with lots of local businesses and charities.
